The great waters of Mitchgloom are the home of a nation of sailors called Faremen (Fair-men). The Faremen ply the waters, trading goods and carrying passengers from side to the other. There are hidden dangers beneath the water that only the Faremen know how to handle. Some passengers have reported sighting a pair of enormous dorsal fins, like those of a shark, circling the boat. The two fins, one eight meters ahead of the other, seemed to be part of a massive beast. The Faremen tossed a large sack overboard, and shortly afterward the submerged and were not seen again. All around the shores of the lake are large islands. Most are filled with ancient ruins, and their shores are lined with partially submerged building. These places are sometimes still radioactive, and always dangerous. Even the Faremen tend to steer clear of the islands.
